32 Weeks

I can't really believe that I am now 32 weeks!...only 8 weeks to go! (Maybe more or maybe less... who knows!) I'm hoping to make it to late April, but the past few days make me think it may be sooner.

I've definitely been doing too much and my body is letting me know.  I decided yesterday that it would be a great idea the house top to bottom: including behind the couches, cushions, and all base boards. I bathed the dogs, scrubbed the bathrooms,  dusted and vacuumed every room.  I was having trouble walking by the end of the night.  I know I don't need to do everything at once, but I couldn't help myself.  My friend told me that it's called "nesting" and it means the baby is coming soon.  Ahhh!! I hope that's just an old wive's tail.

I still have a lot of swelling in my feet and ankles. I actually had to take my shoes off during a class last week.  My room was hot though and my wedding ring came off for a little while too.  I'm glad I was able to get it back on.

The biggest craving I've had throughout my pregnancy has been sweets.  I think I've always craved sweets but I've just allowed myself to indulge now.  It didn't help that last week was Valentine's Day and I received lots of sweets from students and my parents.

My friend, Kristina, took some belly pics this week.  I felt really weird about bare belly pics, but I actually ended up liking them.  It will be great to have these memories later.
Here are a few from the shoot.

She will be taking some more pics of us this weekend!  I'm looking forward to that!

Grayson is moving A LOT these days which is amazing and of course makes me think of him every time I feel a kick, punch, or any type of movement.  Lastly, I think a lot about what Grayson will look like - eye color, hair color (if he has any), and facial features.

I'm counting down the days until I can see for myself!

30 Weeks

So much to blog about....

Baby Hardwick finally has a name...and it's not Hardy Har Hardwick.  :)  We have decided on GRAYSON.  The middle name is still in debate, but I'm so happy to actually call him something other than "baby."

I have started leading worship at The Lampstand in Newport News.  It's a long drive, but I think it's manageable.  We feel very welcome there!  Last Sunday was my first actually leading the music.  The pastor gave David and I some t-shirts and 2 onesies for Grayson.  So sweet!

The garage is really coming along.  My brother flew back in town again this past weekend.  They have installed the french doors, flooring, and the new (new to us) washer and dryer.  So now, David has to finish the trim, install the recording booth door, and order the new split unit.  We can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.  Thank God!

I had my first shower last weekend.  My mom is a church secretary and some of the ladies there wanted to give me a shower.  It was so lovely.  They really were gracious!  Here are some pics from the shower:

We took a tour of the hospital last night.  It was a little overwhelming....all the information.  By now, I should have chose a pediatrician, my hospital bag packed, and the car seat in my car.  I can't check off even one of those items.  I have some work to do.  The RN that gave us the tour was really nice though.  She obviously loves her job!  I think Sentara Leigh will be great!
