I had my 28 week appointment today. Everything is going really well. I passed my gestational diabetes test, Vitamin D level is good, and the baby is growing right on track. I have to see the doctor every 2 weeks until I deliver.
I've been dealing with swelling in my feet and ankles and a lot back pain. My doctor said it's totally normal and there's nothing I can do but prop my feet up when possible, lay off the salt, and increase my water intake.
The past few weeks have not been great. We replaced an alternator ($$) and 4 tires ($$$). Now another car has a flat tire ($$) and my van has a leak somewhere ($$$). I think overall we have dealt pretty well. We've been able to get things replaced, keep food on the table, and not kill each other. I'm just praying that we can keep these vehicles running for awhile without going broke.
The garage is coming along. My brother, Dad, and David have worked so hard on it. So far, we have new doors, walls up, insulation in the attic, and recessed lighting installed. We are hoping the start painting this weekend. After that, floors will be installed, new heating/cooling unit, and french doors. THEN - we start on the nursery. The goal is to have everything complete my the beginning of March.
I start a new job next week. I am adding to my already crazy schedule, but I'm so excited. I will be leading worship at The Lampstand in Newport News, VA. I'll update more about this soon.
That's it for now. 12 weeks to go!
